2023 saw more work in collaboration with Ian's old friend and fellow musician Steve Etherington. It involved him playing keyboards in Symphonic Ibiza. The new project, a German style "oom-pah" band called Prost! for which Ian is keyboard player and lead male vocalist has had huge success this year and is expected to be even busier in 2024.

Ian is pleased to still be working as Musical Director and keyboard player for some iconic names of the 80's and 90's. He currently has gigs with The Belle Stars and the brilliant China Black in this capacity. He also plays keyboards periodically with an excellent 9 piece Blues Brothers tribute Show.

Ian played aboard the newly refitted MS Trollfjord for most of July and August 2023 on Hurtigruten's fantastic Svalbard Express from Bergen to Longyearbyen and back. Longyearbyen is a small coal-mining town on Spitsbergen Island, in Norway's Svalbard archipelago between mainland Norway and the North Pole. One of the world’s northernmost permanently inhabited areas.

Having worked for Havila Kystruten (Havila Castor) on their coastal route from Bergen to Kirkenes and back from mid December 2023 through to mid January 2024, Ian has just finished sailings for Hurtigruten on MS Trollfjord on the North Cape Express run from Bergen - Honingsvag - Oslo.

He is booked on more sailings for Havila in the next few months on Havila Polaris and there are more sailings for Hurtigruten being planned for the rest of 2024
