2024 is shaping up to be very busy for Ian.
A definite highlight of 2024 was Ians invitation to become a member of the distinguished entertainment society that is the Grand Order of Water Rats. This was a lifelong ambition for Ian and a huge honour that was realised back in May this year.
He has played with many different bands this year including The Long Riders. This band has his old friend John Partridge on bass and vocals who he worked extensively with in the early 90's when they were both members of the popular comedy/60's band The Wellington Bootles.
Ian is also pleased to still be working with an excellent 9 piece Blues Brothers tribute show and also Rock and Roll and Brew - Tribute to Meatloaf show.
Ian completed a month contract (July 2024) playing in the bar and restaurant at the elegant and historic Fleischers Hotel in Voss, Norway. He returns there in December this year and again beginning of June and end of July 2025.
Ian is pleased to announce that he is also the permanent keys player in a number of other projects. "Dury Duty", a popular Ian Dury & The Blockheads tribute act who will hit the festival scene later in the year, "Electricity", a tribute to Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark (OMD) performing at theatres all over UK, and "Skaramanga", a new Ska, 2Tone and Reggae duo suitable for all types of venue.
A very exciting piece of news is that Ian has been invited to play regularly with Tony Burt's Chas and Dave Knees Up show. This is a 3 piece Chas and Dave tribute band with the original drummer, Micky Burt's, son on drums and the brilliant Luke Dodd on bass and vocals as Dave. This show is proving very popular in 2025.
Ian also continues to perform his solo show and dep in various bands throughout the UK.
